From ego to authenticity

There’s no point in acting like someone who is already where you want to be, the point is to get there yourself. — Jed McKenna

In Plato's Allegory of the Cave, prisoners are trapped in an underground chamber, staring at a wall where shadows cast by a fire become their entire understanding of reality. This scenario parallels life decisions: if your first step is in the wrong direction, every subsequent move will keep you further from your true destination. Just like the prisoners must turn to see the fire and reevaluate their 'reality,' you too have the option to reconsider your initial choices and assumptions.

In today's world, we often chase quick answers—from instant Google results to ready-made advice in self-help books. Yet, what if the real journey isn't in the answers we find, but in the questions we dare to ask ourselves? Consider these questions as your compass, guiding you through the labyrinth of your inner world, redirecting your steps toward a more authentic reality, moving from ego to authenticity: who am I beyond labels?

However, we often seek refuge in distractions—be it entertainment or materialism, even fear—chasing shadows that only tether us more firmly to illusion, into the cave.

Your mind is a vast landscape, teeming with questions waiting to be asked, ready to explore.

Our goal with Hey Mind is to build a mirror in which you may see beyond the masks, beyond the dream, outside the cave.
